Mission StatementMTC is a Chabad House, part of the worldwide network of Chabad institutions founded by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of saintly memory.When the Rebbe assumed leadership of the Chabad movement in 1950, he made the following statement at a gathering commemorating the first anniversary of the passing of his predecessor and father-in-law, Rabbi Joseph Isaac Schneerson:"There are divine loves. The love of G-d. The love of Torah. And the love of the Jewish people. All three loves are unconditional and all three are inextricably bound together as one. One cannot profess a love of G-d or a love of Torah and not strive to love every Jew with all one's heart."This then, is the 'mission statement' of MTC that permeates all of our programs and activities: Love of every Jew - regardless of background, religiosity, age or social standing.Our sages tell us that through 'Ahavat Yisroel' - love of our fellow Jew and, accordingly, of every human being, we merit Moshiach's revelation when peace, prosperity and happiness will abound for all humanity, forever. May we merit the redemption speedily in our days, amen.
