Delete Account

At Charity Exchange, we respect your privacy and give you full control over your personal information. If you no longer wish to use our services, you can permanently delete your account directly from the Charity Exchange mobile app.

How to Delete Your Account

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the Charity Exchange mobile app.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Tap on Profile from the bottom navigation.
  4. Open Settings.
  5. Tap Delete Account.
  6. Read the confirmation message carefully.
  7. Tap Confirm Delete Account.

Once confirmed, your account deletion request will be processed.

What Information Will Be Deleted?

When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed from our systems:

  • Your profile information
  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Profile photo
  • Account preferences and settings
  • Saved addresses (if applicable)
  • Donation history linked to your account*
  • Charity participation records*
  • Messages and notifications associated with your account
  • Any other personal information stored in your account

Information That May Be Retained

To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or to prevent fraud, we may retain certain information for a limited period, including:

Donation and payment transaction records

Financial records required for tax or legal compliance

Records required for dispute resolution

Information necessary to comply with legal obligations

This retained information is securely stored and is not used for marketing purposes.

Deletion Processing Time

Your account deletion request is processed immediately, and your personal information is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days.

Some backup copies may remain for a limited period before being automatically deleted as part of our backup retention policy.
